Deaconess Jacquelyn Campbell
Missions Ministry President

“While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them. So, after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.’” Acts 13:2-3.

In response to the call of the Mission on October 14, 1996; Pastor Kenroy Salter along with his wife and children and other brethren from the Kings Chapel United Pentecostal Church had to make this big decision. Knowing that this must have been an overwhelming situation, but the will of the Lord had to prevail.

Reflecting today, they must have had a great challenge in making that decision to move from a church environment where the table was already spread to start a new work in a place that could only be classified as woodland. The land was only trees and shrubs. Thus, we will celebrate this landmark achievement.

The mission of the church is the mission and through this mandate, the Missions Ministry has significantly contributed to the Praise Chapel Apostolic Ministries. Records have revealed that over 500 persons have been welcomed into the membership to date.

The Missions Ministry can be viewed as the face, the hands, the feet and the backbone of the church and this is so because of the many outreach ministries that are fitly joined together in making this a fully-equipped or functional ministry. The Missions Ministry compromises the Prayer Ministry, the Missions Force Team, the Altar ministry, the Hospital Ministry and the Telephone Ministry.

During the 21 years of this organization, we have had three Missions Directors inclusive of Assistant Pastor Minister Margaret Salter, Deaconess Ejaina Dixon, and Deaconess Jacqueline Campbell. This ministry also had a person holding the position as Assistant Director /Secretary or Assistant Director or Secretary, namely Sister Joan Hill, Deaconess Ejaina Dixon, Deaconess Jacqueline Campbell, Sister Pauline Jackson, Sister Carleen Maxwell and Sister Kay-Ann Clarke.

Leaders of the different ministries inclusive of the Prayer Director Minister Nickeisha Palmer-Campbell; the Missions Force Team Leader Minister Vilma Hines; the Altar Worker Leader Sister Janet Ricketts; the Hospital Ministry Leader Sister Natalie Williams-Richards and the Telephone Ministry Leader Sister Alicia Marshall.
